     Over the last 57 years Battle River Credit Union has evolved from one branch in Camrose with assets of $178, serving 21 members, to 11 branches serving the Battle River region, with almost 18,000 members, and $494 million in assets. This evolution has directly benefitted our members. Members reap the rewards of a network of conveniently located branches and a full range of financial products and the most current technology to service all our members’ needs.

     Although our values have remained constant, our world has not. To stay current in today’s rapidly changing marketplace, we must be willing to embrace change, and it’s time for us to do so. Although our existing software has met our needs for many years, a more flexible banking system is required to meet the challenges of new initiatives and support long-term growth of our credit union.

     The new banking system will allow us to provide better service to our members. The new system fully integrates in-branch, ATM, telephone and Internet banking systems and provides a consolidated view of members’ existing accounts and products. This will enable us to offer members better product and service solutions, and better allow them to reach their financial goals. As well, the new system has improved security features to protect members’ personal information.

     Our official conversion weekend is August 21-24, 2009. Please keep an eye out for conversion updates and very important information on what you will need to know in order to provide you with a very successful conversion. You will find conversion updates at your branch, and on our web site.
